To Forget What You Think You Are

Beauty is lost itself thru contemplation of itself

If you think you’ve advanced in your awareness beyond others, you’ve lost awareness, because you’ve lost humility.

Regarding your progress, the only conclusion you can come to is not to conclude at all.

You cannot keep track of your progress or estimate your time of arrival. There is no arriving. The news which disconcerts you is that you never get there. There is neither such thing as entering heaven, nor as attaining nirvana. For those who seek them shall not find. Where would you draw the gates of heaven? Over what magic line is enlightenment attained, where it did not exist before? Stop looking for that which never was lost, and so need not be found.

When you stop looking, you’ve found it. When you stop trying to get there, you’re there. When you forget that you even are, you discover That which lives its life through you, and you become aware it is This which you really are.  When you cease being aware of awareness, you are aware. When you cease trying to become, you become what you already are.
