We are created in God’s image.  God is Love, and so we love.  That’s what it means to be like God.  It means we love and grieve once we lose the object of our love.  And rest assured, every thing loved here is lost in the end; the pallet wiped clean. To love is to weep, only to love once more.  Love always loves again.  It may lose itself in the object of its love. And love may be obscured by pain, twisted by addiction, shrouded by love of lesser things.   Yet the heart can only love, even if it loves only its pain.

And so it weeps, only to love again.  We give our hearts away, and the heart is crushed, shattered in its grief, shuttered in its fear.  Only to let go its loss and forgive the thief of its light.  And in this release, the vessel of love grows stronger with each breaking, to rise and rise again.
